Through My Eyes by U Marlar

Our work and travels around the region, have opened our eyes to artists and artisans whose talent we feel should be shared. Making these works accessible and introducing new talent and work will be our focus. Sometimes, we will consciously stray and reintroduce an artist who is doing different things or making a difference!

Making a difference is what drives us - a difference in the lives of artists, their communities and ours.

We are thrilled that our inaugural artist for Asian Palette Introduces is U Marlar, a respected Myanmar artist and old master. U Marlar's works have a transcendental beauty and serenity about them.

Andrew Ranard, in his book Burmese Painting - A Linear and Lateral History, describes U Marlar's Watercolours as 'similar at times to the Old British-Chinese style paintings of Singapore and Malaysia.'
